The 17-year old stars in the programme which targets audiences made up
of girls between six and fourteen. In the show, made by Disney, Miley
plays a schoolgirl who leads a secret double life as a pop star.
Despite the young impressionable market she is selling to, Cyrus wants
her show to go in a direction more akin to the adult themes of New York
based Sex And The City. However, she denies wanting to make Hannah
Montana’s situations raunchy like Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and
Samantha. She explains via Wenn: "Obviously not the scenarios.
“But, if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the
way that it's dry and they all have distinct characters - that's a
thing we try to do on our show. It's my favourite show! I love it!"
